Scanlan and Theodore is an Australian brand that has been around over 20 years, yet I just recently heard about them. I adore the color palette and draping techniques for the Spring/Summer 2011 collection. I could imagine myself wearing some of these outfits to work then throwing on some crazy and wild accessories to go out for drinks in the city at night.

Another long semester of Patternmaking and Draping classes at FIT. Dreading those 13 hour days of work and school on top of Saturday classes. All this hard work will be worth it in the end though.

Endless Summer

When I graduated high school, there was a brief moment in time where I wanted to live in California. It seemed like once a month I would hop in my car and drive the five hours to Long Beach. I loved the weather, the beach and the shopping in Los Angeles. Growing up I would spend summer vacations with my parents and best friend in Carpenteria, a small town a few miles south of Santa Barbara and it's still one of the fondest memories I have growing up.

July was probably one of the most unbearable, hottest, most humid months ever for NYC. I was dying to take one of those trips back to Carpenteria to get away from the torturous weather, but one has to have money and vacation time to do that (which I have neither). I can only dream with these picture of those days on the beach. Love the styling by Marina Burini. I would kill to of had a wardrobe like this for the summer!
